Systeme.io is an all-in-one marketing platform designed to simplify online business management for entrepreneurs, course creators, and small business owners. It allows you to:
I’ve been using Systeme.io since January 2024, and in this honest review, I’ll share my personal experience — what works, what doesn’t, and everything in between.
Let’s start by highlighting Systeme.io’s best features:
If you are new to the world of selling digital products, you may have no idea of what a marketing funnel is.
A funnel is basically the journey your customer goes through since the moment they get to know of your existance until they buy something from you. It’s often visualized as a funnel shape because the number of prospects decreases at each stage.
A funnel typically works by guiding potential customers through a series of steps designed to build trust and encourage conversions.
STEP 1
Attracting people to your business through ads, social media, or content.
STEP 2
Engaging prospects with valuable information or offers, like free guides or webinars.
STEP 3
Encouraging them to consider your product or service as a solution to their problem.
STEP 4
Converting them into customers through a purchase or sign-up.
Now that can be a bit abstract, so let's make it more concrete.
Step 1: Offer a Freebie
Start by providing a free resource, like an ebook, guide, or discount, in exchange for their email and name. This creates an initial connection with someone who will be interested in a free version of your offer.
Once we’ve collected someone’s name and email, we classify them as a Lead. A lead is essentially a person who has expressed interest in your product or service and might eventually become a customer. This step marks the beginning of building a relationship and guiding them through your sales funnel.
Step 2: Nurture the Relationship
Follow up with value-packed content—tips, tutorials, or insights—to build trust and showcase your expertise.
Step 3: Present Your Offer
Once trust is established, introduce your product or service as the solution to their problem.
Step 4: Follow Up (If Needed)
If they purchase, fantastic! If not, continue to engage them with emails offering value, addressing objections, or sharing success stories.
Remember, just because someone doesn’t buy immediately doesn’t mean they never will—consistent, thoughtful engagement can turn leads into customers over time.
The sky is the limit when it comes to all the different types of funnels you can create with Systeme.io, here are a few examples of the funnel types I have personally created using this platform:
You create an opt-in page where potential clients can download a valuable free resource (also known as a lead magnet). This could be a checklist, infographic, short ebook, training video, or any other piece of content that addresses a specific pain point or interest of your target audience. The goal is to provide immediate value while collecting their contact information for future follow-up.
Quiz Funnel
Engage your audience by having them answer a quiz and requiring them to provide their name and email to receive personalized results.
This strategy works exceptionally well because quizzes are fun and interactive, and they also offer valuable insights into your audience’s preferences, needs, or challenges.
Evergreen Webinar Funnel
This funnel allows your leads to access a recorded webinar at any time. After signing up, they can watch a 60-90 minute session where you provide valuable content, share your expertise, and ultimately pitch your offer. The beauty of this funnel is its automation—once the webinar is set up, it can run continuously, allowing you to attract and nurture leads without being present live.
Email Challenge Funnel
This funnel invites your leads to participate in a challenge that spans several days, often ranging from 5 to 30 days. Each day, your subscribers receive an email with a new tip, lesson, or actionable step to take. The goal is to engage your audience consistently, provide value, and build a relationship with them over the course of the challenge. It’s a great way to nurture leads, create a sense of urgency, and guide them toward taking action, whether that's purchasing a product, signing up for a service, or joining a program.
The things that could be improved...
Although I love Systeme.io, it’s not perfect.
⚠️ Spoiler Alert: The perfect platform does not exist.
So now let's review the aspects that I wish they'd improve in the future:
Overall, I’m highly satisfied with Systeme.io. The platform offers an incredibly generous free plan, allowing you to thoroughly explore its features and determine if it aligns with your needs before committing to a paid plan.
If I were to rate my experience with this tool, here’s how I’d score it:
As a solopreneur, it has everything I need to sell digital courses online and I was able to test it for free, fall in love with the platform and I currently pay the yearly webinar subscription. If you’re wondering how it compares with other tools, this table is perfect for you:
While there is no perfect platform to start selling digital products, I am happy with my choice of Systeme.io.
All the available platforms have pros and cons, the trick is to choose the one that is best for your use case. If you're doubting whether Systeme.io is the right tool for you, you're very lucky because you can test it with the free plan to see if you enjoy working with it, if it allows you to easily achieve what you’re trying to do and how you feel using the platform.
